Neighbourhood Plan Working Group
What is a neighbourhood plan?
A neighbourhood plan is a community-led framework that guides future development, regeneration, and conservation in a specific area. It allows local residents to shape how their neighbourhood grows and changes by setting out planning policies for development, including where new homes, shops, and other facilities should be built. These plans become legally binding when approved by a local referendum and must align with national and local planning policies.

Who is leading the Barnham Broom Neighbourhood Plan creation?
A number of passionate villagers are volunteering their time to get the Neighbourhood Plan completed. They are working alongside the Parish Council, who have delegated authority to the Working Group for the day-to-day running though the Parish Council remains as the legal qualifying body.
